Avalon Holdings: directors confirmed and advisory vote on compensation approved

Avalon increases revenue in first quarter and reduces net loss

Avalon recorded a revenue increase in the first quarter, driven by growth in its waste management segment to US$11.5 million (prior year US$9.7 million). The net loss narrowed to US$1.28 million, and the basic loss per share was US$0.32 (prior year US$0.38). Operating loss amounted to US$736,000; loss before tax was US$1.24 million.
