Capita appoints Radhika Chadwick to the board

Capita appoints Radhika Chadwick as an independent non‑executive director with effect from 1 September 2026. Chadwick is founder and CEO of Niscai Ltd and was previously a partner at McKinsey as well as head of central government and global head of data and AI in the public sector at EY. Capita: profit in first half of 2026 sharply down due to CSPS costs

Capita reported H1 2026 revenue rising to £906m (+1.6%), while operating profit fell to £32m (-32%) and pre-tax profit plunged to £12.5m (-57%). Restructuring costs related to the CSPS contract weighed on results, costing about £14m on roughly £15m of contract revenue. Liquidity improved to £351m, net debt increased to £200m; the shares fell around 5.3%. Capita expects up to £40m hit from Civil Service Pension Scheme failures

Capita warned the fallout from its failings on the Civil Service Pension Scheme could reduce annual profits by £25m–£40m, prompting an almost 20% drop in its shares. CEO Adolfo Hernandez apologised for the “very poor service” after thousands of retired civil servants faced delayed payments and quotes, with more than 6,700 past-dated quotations and 4,100 bereavement cases outstanding.
