Comtech launches cloud-native 911 emergency-call platform Allerium Mira

Comtech has unveiled the cloud-native Allerium Mira platform for Next Generation 9-1-1, which supports voice calls, text messages and future communication channels via a microservices architecture and can be deployed in shared, private, hybrid or edge environments. Initial deployments at emergency call centers are intended to validate operational workflows, deployment flexibility, interoperability and scalability. The launch comes while the stock is under heavy pressure (down 52% year-to-date at $2.56), although InvestingPro currently rates the stock as undervalued at this level. Comtech agreed to sell most of its Satellite and Space Communications segment to Gilat for $157.5 million, expecting net cash proceeds of about $143–145 million to be used mainly to reduce debt and improve its capital structure. The company will concentrate on its Allerium public-safety technology portfolio and plans a transition pending regulatory approval.
