Eli Lilly and Company: study shows Zepbound reduces healthcare costs in people over 55

A retrospective real-world study of 15,843 adults over 55 years old with obesity/overweight found that continued use of Zepbound, compared with untreated controls, was associated with lower healthcare costs and fewer hospital admissions and emergency department visits. After six months costs were up to 15% lower (up to $181 per patient per month), and after twelve months up to 38% lower (up to $607 per patient per month). The study excluded Zepbound medication costs, so the reported savings represent potential offsets against treatment costs, not the net cost impact. » Altro su de.investing.com
Eli Lilly launches weight-loss pill Foundayo in the UK

Eli Lilly has introduced the oral weight-loss pill Foundayo (active ingredient orforglipron) in the United Kingdom; the UK is the first country in Europe where the tablet is available. After MHRA approval on August 10, Foundayo will be offered on private prescription, while an assessment by NICE for possible inclusion in the NHS is ongoing.
