Owners reactivate Fisker Ocean after manufacturer's bankruptcy

After Fisker's insolvency and the shutdown of its servers, about 4,000 Fisker Ocean owners in the Fisker Owners Association used reverse engineering and community services to get their vehicles running again. They provide instructions, organize parts orders and a service network in Europe and North America, and develop integrations with open-source systems. A planned access to the original software failed after Lease America changed the terms following its purchase of cars from the bankruptcy estate. Fisker owners form cooperative to keep orphaned Ocean EVs running

After Fisker’s 2024 bankruptcy left Ocean buyers with failing batteries, defective software and scarce parts, thousands of owners created the Fisker Owners Association to provide repairs, parts supply and software updates. The group has spun out companies (Tsunami Automotive, Tidal Wave, UnderCurrent) offering reproduced hardware, global parts logistics and a third‑party app and device (OceanLink Pro and Pulse) to restore key features.
