Freenet buys remaining stake in Exaring and takes over Waipu.tv along with 12,000 km fiber network

Freenet is acquiring the remaining 25% of Exaring for around €76 million based on a valuation of about €300 million; a further €50 million will be due if certain targets are met. With the acquisition, Freenet secures full control of Waipu.tv (roughly 2 million customers, 20–25% market share) and the 12,000‑kilometer IPTV‑dedicated fiber network.
