HSBC to wind down German transaction services, cutting over 300 jobs by 2028

HSBC will phase out its transaction services business in Germany, eliminating more than 300 positions at HSBC Transaction Services GmbH and HSBC Service Company Germany GmbH by 2028. The move is part of a wider strategy to concentrate on businesses where HSBC sees stronger competitive advantages and follows last year’s sale of its German private banking arm. HSBC issues £750 million senior bond with 6.061% coupon

HSBC has issued senior, unsecured bonds totaling £750 million with a fixed-to-floating interest structure and a coupon of 6.061%; maturity is 2035. The issuance was made under a 2009 indenture, supplemented by the 41st supplemental agreement, and was placed in the U.S. using a shelf registration (Form F-3). HSBC finance chief Kaur to step down in 2027, board seeks successor

Pam Kaur will give up her post as chief financial officer no later than the 2027 annual general meeting and will not stand for re-election to the board there. The HSBC board is searching both internally and externally for candidates to succeed her.
