Jes Staley says he shared confidential JPMorgan Chase information with Jeffrey Epstein

Former JPMorgan Chase executive Jes Staley told a House committee he repeatedly disclosed confidential and market-sensitive JPMorgan information to Jeffrey Epstein, including the bank’s communications with the Federal Reserve during the 2008 crisis, a $44bn private bank inflow figure and details of pending deals. Staley said he believed he had authority to share such information and that he once was named a trustee of Epstein’s estate but declined the role and received no compensation.
