Meridian Mining has appointed Dr. Carlos Vilhena and Felipe Holzhacker Alves as independent non-executive directors with immediate effect. Holzhacker Alves brings more than 20 years of mining experience including CEO roles, while Vilhena has over 35 years as a mining lawyer with a focus on Brazil. Holzhacker Alves joins the sustainability, safety and technical committee and Vilhena joins the corporate governance and nominations committee; both meet the independence requirements of the UK Corporate Governance Code and NI 52-110.
