Quikrete rises to $18 billion family valuation after Summit Materials acquisition
Quikrete’s Winchester family is now estimated to be worth about $18 billion after the privately held firm paid $11.5 billion for Summit Materials, a deal that increased pro forma revenue to roughly $12 billion and pushed combined pro forma EBITDA above $3 billion. The company’s string of acquisitions has expanded Quikrete from packaged concrete into cement, aggregates and ready-mix businesses, positioning it alongside major public peers. The Summit deal was largely debt-financed, leaving Quikrete with about $13.7 billion of debt and annual cash interest near $1.1 billion, while ratings agencies still note strong operating margins and near-term revenue growth. » Altro su forbes.com
