Aya Gold & Silver has agreed to buy a 139 km² portfolio of exploration permits in Morocco for C$4.0 million, payable in common shares. The package includes a 19 km² mining licence about 35 km west of the Zgounder mine and contains copper‑silver mineralization with historical samples up to 837 g/t silver and 4.6% copper. Closing is subject to customary conditions such as due diligence, permits in Morocco and Canada, and approval of the Toronto Stock Exchange. The stock of Aya Gold & Silver climbed intraday to C$41.98 (+7.9%), reaching a new 52-week high. The trigger was a Desjardins upgrade that raised the price target from C$38 to C$55 and reaffirmed the buy recommendation. Aya reported adjusted earnings of $0.23 per share and revenue of $96.79 million for Q2 2026, both well below consensus estimates (EPS expectation $0.3855; revenue forecast $121 million). Silver-equivalent production rose 61% to 1.7 million ounces, operating cash flow was $48 million ($119 million H1) and liquidity stood at $183 million.
