Cable One appoints Heather McCallion as chief operating officer

Cable One: revenue stagnates in Q2, stock heavily under pressure after-hours

Cable One reported Q2 revenue of $348.9m (−8.5% y/y), nearly in line with expectations, but adjusted EBITDA fell to $173.5m and the margin dropped to 49.7%. Moody’s downgrades Cable One and cuts outlook to negative

Moody’s has lowered Cable One’s corporate family rating from B1 to B2 and set the outlook to negative; the rating on unsecured senior notes was also downgraded. The move reflects weaker credit metrics after the acquisition of Mega Broadband, a continued decline in residential subscribers and longer recovery times for the broadband business. The acquisition increases debt by $480m to $1.4bn depending on the debt exchange, there is significant uncertainty about the long‑term capital structure and higher financing costs.
