The AI business reached an annualized run rate of more than USD 150 million in Q2/2024 and grew 78% year over year; AI now represents 15% of subscription revenue and shows very high gross margins. The company reported a large contract worth USD 100 million, organizational restructuring to support the platform strategy, and expects AI to grow faster than the core CCaaS business going forward. Five9 shares climbed 6.3% in after-hours trading after the announcement of its inclusion in the S&P SmallCap 600. The inclusion takes effect before trading opens on Aug. 3 and replaces Two Harbors in the index, after Two Harbors is being acquired by CrossCountry Mortgage.
