Infosys: JPMorgan and HSBC downgrade after weak outlook

JPMorgan cut its rating from overweight to neutral and lowered the price target from ₹1,200 to ₹1,050, while HSBC downgraded from buy to hold and cut its target from ₹1,340 to ₹1,110. Both banks attributed the downgrades to missed Q1 numbers, a reduced revenue-growth forecast for fiscal 2027, weaker demand, AI-driven price deflation and headwinds in contract business. Despite slower revenue realization, operating margins remained robust and Infosys reported a total contract value of large wins of $3.6 billion. Infosys announced Salil Parekh will retire March 31, 2027, with Ashiss Dash succeeding him on April 1, 2027; Parekh will begin mentoring Dash from Oct. 1. In Q1 constant-currency revenue rose 2.4% year over year, operating margin was 21.1% and large deals totaled $3.6 billion, but full-year revenue growth guidance was cut to 1.5%–3% amid uneven macro conditions. Infosys partners with Sentara to scale AI across hospital operations

Infosys will deploy its Topaz Fabric platform in a strategic collaboration with Sentara to move AI use cases from pilots to full production across clinical, IT and operational systems. The deployment aims to prioritize high‑value use cases, accelerate enterprise AI adoption and deliver efficiency gains for clinicians and improved patient and member experiences.
