Neometals, through its joint venture Reed Advanced Materials, has signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding with Rio Tinto to jointly validate the ELi process technology for lithium extraction. Neometals Ltd. has announced the first mineral resource estimate for the Ironclad prospect within the Barrambie gold project in Western Australia. The estimate indicates inferred resources of approximately 250,000 tonnes with a gold grade of 1.6 g/t, equivalent to about 13,000 ounces of gold.
