Ocean Power Technologies bought the subsea wave-power IP portfolio from Columbia Wave Power, enabling it to extend capabilities from surface maritime systems to seabed infrastructure for powering underwater sensors, robotics and junction boxes. The deal complements existing buoy deployments and creates a more complete operational infrastructure layer.
