Sega and Creative Assembly removed Total War: Shogun 2 — Complete Edition from storefronts after users reported widespread bugs and art upscaling that appears to have been produced by AI, prompting an "Overwhelmingly Negative" rating on Steam. Sega’s Golden Axe becomes animated series on Paramount+

Sega’s classic hack-and-slash Golden Axe has been adapted into an animated fantasy action-comedy that premieres on Paramount+ on September 16, 2026. The 10-episode series, created by Mike McMahan and Joe Chandler, features Matthew Rhys, Danny Pudi, Lisa Gilroy and Liam McIntyre and is billed as a humorous homage to the games.
