The Aberdeen Asian Income Fund has entered a three-year agreement with abrdn Asia Ltd and Saba Capital Management. Saba commits not to submit shareholder proposals, not to call general meetings, not to alter the composition of the board of directors and not to vote against recommendations of the board. In addition, Saba will not short the shares and will not seek control of or influence over the board, policy or management. Aberdeen Asian Income Fund has announced a second quarterly interim dividend of 5.55 pence per share, payable on 21 August to shareholders on the register on 24 July; the ex-dividend date is 23 July.
