AJ Bell has appointed Craig Gentle as a non-executive director with effect from 1 September 2026 and Steve Langan as a non-independent non-executive director with effect from 2 February 2027. Gentle, a former senior audit partner at PwC and ex-CFO of St. James’s Place, is expected to chair the audit committee subject to regulatory approval. AJ Bell reported assets under administration (AUA) of £121.5bn for the quarter ending 30 June 2026, up 26% year on year, and recorded net cash inflows of £3.0bn (prior year: £2.1bn). Customer numbers rose by 39,000 to 762,000 (+23%), with direct-to-consumer customers at 571,000 (+30%) and advised business at 191,000 (+6%).
