Biofrontera has sold the US rights to the Xepi cream to Pelthos Therapeutics. The agreement foresees $3 million at signing, $1 million upon commercial availability and up to $6 million in revenue-dependent milestones (payments tied to $10 million and $15 million in annual sales in the USA, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands). The company stresses the transaction strengthens the balance sheet and should secure financing until profitability; proceeds are to support growth of the photodynamic therapy platform and regulatory expansions for Ameluz.
