Comstock has acquired the 6.77-acre Woodland Pointe office campus in Herndon, Virginia, which includes a six-story, 185,000-square-foot LEED Gold class-A office building, a conference center and a parking garage. The company signed long-term leases with Peraton for the existing building and an additional 100,000-square-foot build-to-suit building; upon completion Peraton will occupy both buildings with nearly 300,000 square feet. The acquisition is part of Comstock’s Institutional Venture Platform, with Comstock acting as the operating partner for institutional co-investors and providing management and development services through subsidiaries. Comstock has signed a lease with Taste Buds Kitchen for 2,600 square feet of retail space in Loudoun Station; Teddra Burgess will run the location. The franchise offers interactive cooking classes and is entering the Washington, D.C. metro area for the first time.
