Entergy Louisiana completed the placement of collateral trust mortgage bonds with an aggregate principal amount of $1 billion, split into two series of $500 million each. The first series carries a 5.50% coupon and matures on September 15, 2036; the second carries a 6.20% coupon and matures on September 15, 2056. The issuance increases the utility’s total debt to $11.6 billion and will be used to finance infrastructure investments; Entergy Louisiana recorded $5.95 billion in revenue over the last twelve months. Entergy said in an SEC filing that it completed a placement of $1.5 billion of subordinated notes consisting of two $750 million tranches maturing in 2056 (Series 2026A) and 2058 (Series 2026B). Both series pay 6.50% until specified years and thereafter reset every five years to the five-year US Treasury rate plus a respective spread (1.877% and 2.030%), each with an interest floor of 6.50%. The new issue raises total debt from the prior $34.6 billion and lifts the debt-to-equity ratio to about 1.9x. Entergy’s board has declared a quarterly dividend of $0.64 per common share. The dividend will be paid on September 1, 2026, to shareholders of record as of August 13, 2026.
