GAM appointed Norio Suzuki effective 15 August 2026 as representative director and president of GAM Japan. Suzuki is based in Tokyo, reports to Tim Rainsford and will be responsible for client relationships, business development and sales in Japan. He joins from Abrdn Japan and has more than 30 years of senior experience at asset managers including HSBC Global Asset Management Japan and J.P. Morgan Asset Management. GAM reports an IFRS loss before tax of CHF 24.7 million (−39%) for the first half of 2026 and an adjusted loss before tax of CHF 24.0 million (−30%), supported by a 17% lower cost base.
