IG Group reached an agreement on 30 July 2026 to acquire US operator Underdog (daily fantasy sports and prediction markets), subject to regulatory approvals. On 8 October 2026 IG will host a virtual seminar for institutional investors and analysts, where Jeremy Levine (co‑founder and CEO of Underdog) as well as IG CEO Breon Corcoran and CFO Clifford Abrahams will present the strategy, product offering and operational setup. Shareholders of IG Group voted in favor of a restructuring that envisages Jenkins Topco plc as the new ultimate parent company, which will be renamed IG Group Holdings plc. The new holding is to have its registered office in Jersey but will remain tax resident in the UK. At meetings in London, the court-approved scheme of arrangement and seven special resolutions were passed with around 99% approval; the delisting received 97.79% approval. Fitch affirms the long-term IDRs of IG Group and IG Markets at 'BBB', but lowers the outlook from 'stable' to 'negative'. The reason is the risk of higher medium-term leverage after the partly debt-funded acquisition of Underdog Sports Holdings, which Fitch estimates could push gross debt/EBITDA from 0.9x at end-June 2026 to around or above 1.5x.
