Motor Oil reports sharp profit rise in H1 2026 thanks to record refining margins
Motor Oil posted a significant profit jump in the first half of 2026: revenue rose 43% to €7.5 billion, net profit climbed from €126 million to €666 million, and EBITDA more than doubled to €1.047 billion. The adjusted refinery margin reached record levels (USD 165/tonne in H1), driven by tight product inventories and strong demand. Net debt fell markedly to €814 million (0.5x debt/EBITDA), while management cut the 2026 CapEx forecast from €650 million to €420 million and postponed investments in renewable energy. Planned maintenance in Sept./Oct. and geopolitical uncertainties remain near‑term risks to margins and output. » Mais em de.investing.com
