NEXTDC reports record results for FY26 and raises outlook for FY27

NEXTDC delivered record results in fiscal year 2026: revenue AUD 405 million, reported total revenue AUD 496.5 million and adjusted EBITDA AUD 248.8 million, roughly 4% above the top end of guidance. Pro forma contracted utilisation rose 202% to 740 MW and the backlog stands at 565 MW, fully contracted. NextDC drops recycled-water cooling plan for OpenAI data center

NextDC has abandoned plans to cool the 612-megawatt S7 data center for OpenAI in Australia with recycled wastewater after no building approval was granted for the required pipeline. Instead, the facility will use liquid-based cooling, in which a coolant circulates around the chips; this uses no water but consumes more energy. NEXTDC reports new major contracts and rising contractual utilization, shares jump

NEXTDC shares rose 7.7% to A$14.06 after the company reported numerous new customer contracts. Pro-forma contractual utilization increased by 73 MW (11%) to 740 MW as of 30 June 2026, with a backlog of 565 MW. Management expects a gradual conversion of this pipeline into revenue and EBITDA through fiscal year 2030; guidance for 2026 remained unchanged.
