  • Nordnet launches Germany push with state-subsidized retirement depot, brokerage accounts and instant-access savings

The Swedish direct bank Nordnet plans to grow in Germany and from January will offer a state-subsidized retirement savings depot as well as regular brokerage accounts and an instant-access savings account. Terms are competitive in the market: savings 2.5% for six months then 2%, and orders cost a flat €2.95. Nordnet is betting less on teaser offers and more on a stable platform, extensive information services (including access to dpa-afx) and a long-term presence in the intensely contested German banking market. » Mais em wiwo.de

  • Nordnet launches German market entry with app, free brokerage accounts and savings account

Nordnet will launch an app in Germany on November 16 for selected customers, through which stocks, ETFs and funds can be traded. The offer includes a free securities account, a savings account (Tagesgeld) with 2.5% interest for the first half year (then 2%) and a flat fee of €2.95 per trade; anyone who signs up for the waitlist by early January pays no order fees for the first twelve months. Margin lending and products for a retirement savings account are planned later; Nordnet intends to win customers through content, social media and its own social network that makes transactions visible. Nordnet stresses there are no hidden costs such as spread mark-ups and plans a moderate marketing budget for the launch, to be increased in 2027. » Mais em handelsblatt.com

  • Nordnet: strong customer growth, revenues stagnate in Q2 2025

Nordnet reports a 14% increase in customers to 2.22 million in Q2 2025 and a 10% rise in savings balances to SEK 1.064 billion, while adjusted revenues remained flat at SEK 1.293 billion. Adjusted operating costs rose 13%, causing adjusted pre-tax profit to fall slightly by 1% to SEK 893 million. The company is pursuing geographic expansion (preparations for a Germany launch in 2026), expanding product offerings for wealthy customers, and announced a dividend and a buyback program. Nordnet shows robust capital and liquidity metrics (CET1 21.0%, LCR 317%) but faces challenges from the low interest rate environment and rising costs. » Mais em de.investing.com
