Novacyt launches IVDR-certified Yourgene Insight DPYD test in Europe

Novacyt has introduced the IVDR-certified Yourgene Insight DPYD test for the European market and can now commercially distribute it in regulated markets. The test detects 19 clinically relevant variants in the DPYD gene, including all current tier‑1 and tier‑2 variants, and according to the company is the first CE-marked DPYD test under the IVDR with this variant coverage. Novacyt achieves 18% revenue growth in first half of 2026

Novacyt reports H1 2026 revenue of £11.6m, an increase of 18% year on year. The instruments segment grew around 30% thanks to the LightBench Discover platform, while the clinical business rose by more than 20% driven by demand for non‑invasive prenatal tests and products for treating sickle cell disease. The acquisition of Southern Cross Diagnostics contributed £1.8m post‑acquisition; sales increased by over 30% in the Americas and by about 22% in Asia-Pacific.
