Trainline raises revenue, beats consensus and announces £100m buyback
Trainline published a trading update for H1 (to 31 Aug 2026) with net ticket sales and revenue slightly above consensus (0.7% and 2%). The UK retail business was particularly strong (+3% vs. consensus), while the international segment lagged. Management announced a new £100m share buyback programme, to start immediately after the expected completion of the ongoing £150m programme; since September 2023 shares worth around £350m have been repurchased. The upcoming CEO change to Ian Brown on 28 September and strong UK GDP data boosted investor sentiment; the stock closed at 197.5p (day high 206.8p). » Mais em de.investing.com

Trainline launches £100m share buyback programme
Trainline has announced a 12-month share buyback programme of £100 million, which will commence after the expected completion of a prior £150 million buyback. The repurchase will take place in two tranches; Morgan Stanley has been appointed as riskless principal for the first tranche of up to £50 million, and there is an arrangement with Deutsche Bank for the second tranche. Purchases will be made in accordance with EU market abuse rules and FCA listing rules; acquired shares will, where legally possible, be cancelled or held as treasury shares. Trainline will publicly disclose repurchases within seven business days and expects the programme to continue beyond the next annual general meeting unless the authority is renewed. » Mais em de.investing.com
