Bernstein raises target price for Jungheinrich to 48 euros and maintains Outperform

U.S. research house Bernstein raised its target price for Jungheinrich from 46 to 48 euros and kept its rating at "Outperform." Analyst Philippe Lorrain adjusted his valuation model to the new segmentation, which moved the valuation period forward. Jungheinrich reports sharp EBIT decline in first quarter

Jungheinrich’s operating profit fell to €56.5 million in the first quarter from €104.5 million a year earlier, and sales declined to €1.27 billion (down about 3%). Headwinds included stronger price pressure, lower capacity utilization, an 85‑day strike at the Lüneburg plant, the withdrawal from Russia (EBIT effect around €20 million) and a shareholder dispute. The share price dropped at times by up to 15%, but the company confirmed its full‑year guidance (sales €5.2–5.8 billion, EBIT €380–450 million). Jungheinrich closes plant in Lüneburg by end of March 2027

Forklift maker Jungheinrich will fully cease production in Lüneburg; 160 production jobs will be cut. After more than 80 days of strikes, the company and IG Metall agreed on an interest reconciliation, a social plan and a social tariff agreement including severance payments and a transfer company. Engineering and administration will remain at the site with around 125 positions.
