Aberdeen Asian Income Fund enters three-year agreement with Saba

The Aberdeen Asian Income Fund has entered a three-year agreement with abrdn Asia Ltd and Saba Capital Management. Saba commits not to submit shareholder proposals, not to call general meetings, not to alter the composition of the board of directors and not to vote against recommendations of the board. In addition, Saba will not short the shares and will not seek control of or influence over the board, policy or management. The commitments apply until the annual general meeting in 2029 or until abrdn Asia Ltd is no longer acting as manager of alternative investment funds for the company; consents to takeover offers remain unaffected. » Mere på de.investing.com
Aberdeen Asian Income Fund pays interim dividend of 5.55 pence

Aberdeen Asian Income Fund has announced a second quarterly interim dividend of 5.55 pence per share, payable on 21 August to shareholders on the register on 24 July; the ex-dividend date is 23 July. The payment is based on 1.5625% of NAV and on a NAV of 355.08 pence as at 30 June; using a share price of 335 pence on 30 June, this implies an annualised dividend yield of 6.30%. The dividend policy targets quarterly payments of 1.5625% of NAV (around 6.25% p.a.), although actual rates will depend on future NAVs.
