Asahi Kasei secures license for Noguchi ADC technology

Asahi Kasei Life Science has acquired licensing rights for an ADC technology developed by the Noguchi Institute that enables control of drug–antibody ratio and binding sites and the conjugation of two different drugs to a single antibody. The partners plan joint research, commercialization and possible sublicensing to biopharma companies and CDMOs such as Bionova Scientific. Asahi Kasei acquires Aicuris for €780 million

Asahi Kasei has signed a definitive agreement to acquire all shares of Aicuris Anti-infective Cures for around €780 million; closing is expected in the first quarter of fiscal 2026. The acquisition expands Asahi Kasei’s specialty pharma portfolio with three assets, including the already licensed Prevymis, Pritelivir — which is nearing FDA approval with a 2026 target — and AIC468, currently in Phase I with a planned launch in 2030. Asahi Kasei secures global exclusive license for novel agents against autoimmune diseases

Asahi Kasei Pharma has signed an exclusive global licensing agreement with Alchemedicine for preclinical lead compounds to treat autoimmune diseases, obtaining worldwide rights for research, development, manufacturing and commercialization. The substances were identified using Alchemedicine’s HiSAP platform; the program is independent of a prior 2022 collaboration. The compound AK1960 was recently advanced into a phase‑I study.
