Biotalys receives EPA approval for bio-fungicide Evoca and shares rise

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has approved Biotalys's first bio-fungicide, Evoca, completing the regulatory review process. After the approval, Biotalys can submit registration applications in California and Florida, the main US growing regions for fruits and vegetables. Evoca targets fungal diseases such as Botrytis and powdery mildew; the company is also developing a more efficiently manufactured successor version (Evoca NG) with expected US approval in 2028/2029 and EU/Brazil approval in 2029/2030. » Mere på de.investing.com
Biotalys shares rise after positive EPA vote for Evoca

Biotalys shares gained about 14% after the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued a proposed approval for the protein-based biofungicide Evoca. The EPA is thus initiating the final phase of the review process; stakeholders can comment within 15 days before the final decision is made. Evoca is seen as an important test for Biotalys’ business model; the company has production and distribution agreements with Novonesis and AgroFresh.
