Meyer Werft in Papenburg is building the 344-meter-long cruise ship “Carnival Tropicale” for Carnival Cruise Line. The ship will accommodate more than 6,400 passengers, is powered by LNG engines, features a water park with six slides and a Route 66 mini-golf course. P&O Ferries said an isolated incident on a Calais–Dover sailing on 31 August led to a link containing passenger personal information being inadvertently shared with several customers. The company is contacting affected passengers directly, apologised and said it takes data security seriously.
