Clariant misses Q1 revenue forecast and reports margin decline

Clariant reported Q1 2026 revenue of CHF 918m vs. a forecast of CHF 952.5m, a decline of 2% in local currency. EBITDA before special items fell to CHF 160m (-16%) and the EBITDA margin dropped 130 basis points to 17.5%. The share price reacted premarket with a 2.22% decline. Clariant increases EBITDA margin and achieves free-cash-flow conversion of 42%

Clariant reports 2025 revenue of CHF 3,915 million (currency-adjusted flat) and an EBITDA margin before special items of 17.8% (+180 basis points). Free cash flow rose to CHF 273 million (+31%) and free-cash-flow conversion improved to 42%, reaching the mid-term target one year early. In Q4 the company posted CHF 1,028 million in revenue and an EBITDA margin of 17.1%; Catalysts and Care Chemicals were notable contributors to the margin improvement. For 2026 Clariant expects conservatively flat revenue growth in local currencies, an EBITDA margin of around 18% and a negative currency effect of 3–5%; the dividend is to remain at CHF 0.42 per share. » Mere på de.investing.com
