Electrica reports H1 2026 revenue of 6 billion RON (+24%), EBITDA of 1.1 billion RON (+7.7%) and net profit of 457 million RON (+8.6%). The regulated network business contributed more than 80.5% to consolidated EBITDA, generation from renewable energy rose to 21 GWh, and supply EBITDA recovered significantly to 181 million RON. Electrica’s shareholders approved at an extraordinary general meeting an investment project in Craiova with a volume of up to €235 million plus VAT. The plan includes power and heat generation facilities to supply Craiova’s district heating system and provide process heat for Ford Otosan Romania, as well as associated infrastructure such as a substation and internal power grid.
