Berenberg downgrades GBG to hold after unexpected customer churn in the US

Berenberg cut its rating on GBG from buy to hold and lowered the price target from 260 to 190 pence after the company revised its revenue growth forecast for fiscal 2027 down from mid-single-digit growth to 1–3%. The reason is an unexpectedly high loss of key customers in the US; additionally, Tom Schutz is leaving the group as chief revenue officer Americas. Profit warning sends GB Group shares sharply lower

GB Group shares fell about 25.2% in trading after a significant profit warning. Management cited unexpectedly high customer churn in the Americas Identity division and cut full-year revenue growth guidance from previously mid-single-digit percentages to 1–3%. The stock slid to 168p, a low since the move to the Main Market in October 2025, after analyst targets and the short-term costs of a strategic £6m investment had already weighed on it. GB Group admitted 66,921 ordinary shares with ISIN GB0006870611 to trading on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange in July, bringing the total number of shares admitted to trading to 228,870,184.
