Marks Electrical recorded an 8% revenue decline in fiscal 2026 and adjusted earnings per share of 0.67 pence (prior year 1.54 pence). The company attributed the decline and lower margins to a reduction in low-margin marketplace activities, headcount reductions in sales and lower advertising spend. Marks Electrical has completed a CMA investigation and is paying a £0.7m fine and £0.6m in consumer redress. Marks Electrical was investigated by the Competition and Markets Authority for the presentation of optional, paid-for services in the online checkout process between 6 April 2025 and 17 November 2025. The CMA imposed a £1.2 million fine, reduced to £700,000 after a settlement discount; in addition, around £600,000 is to be paid as compensation to affected customers.
