Medmix partners with Xeris to develop XP-8121 D‑Flex pen for weekly levothyroxine therapy

Medmix subsidiary Haselmeier is supporting Xeris Pharmaceuticals in the development of the levothyroxine formulation XP‑8121 and is supplying the D‑Flex pen for once‑weekly administration in hypothyroidism. Tests show the injector achieves dosing accuracy that significantly exceeds the requirements of the international standard for needle‑based injection systems. Medmix records no growth in first half and only minimal annual profit

Medmix reports for H1 2026 a sales decline of 4.9% to CHF 214.4m (organic -1.6%). Adjusted EBITDA fell 3.0% to CHF 43.5m, while the margin improved to 20.3% thanks to cost savings and positive mix effects. Net profit plunged to CHF 0.8m, burdened by higher restructuring charges and write-downs; in particular Consumer & Industrial (Beauty -9.2%) and the drug-delivery business (-13.8%) weakened.
