Metro placed under compulsory administration in Russia
The Kremlin has issued a decree temporarily placing Metro’s Russian business under compulsory administration and appointing the management company Torg RUS to manage 100 percent of the assets. Metro says it no longer has operational control over Metro Russia but stresses that legal ownership formally remains with Metro. Metro reports it operates 91 wholesale stores in Russia with around 9,000 employees; the company is now assessing the further implications of the decree. » Mere på finanzen.net
