Shiseido surpasses 2025 profit target despite weak sales

For fiscal 2025 Shiseido reported an operating core profit of ¥44.5 billion, beating its ¥36.5 billion target even as net sales fell 2% to ¥970 billion. Free cash flow improved to ¥66.5 billion thanks to working-capital and CAPEX optimizations, and restructuring measures are expected to contribute about ¥25 billion to results in 2026. For 2026 the company forecasts net sales of ¥990 billion and an increase in operating core profit to ¥69 billion, and plans to raise the dividend from ¥40 to ¥60. Shiseido suffered Q3-2025 net loss, stock falls after sharply missed EPS and slight sales decline

Shiseido reported Q3 2025 EPS of -133.97 JPY versus an expected 4.26 JPY and revenue of 223.99 billion JPY (expectation 225.75 billion JPY). The company recorded a net loss of 44 billion JPY, despite an increase in core operating profit to 30.1 billion JPY and positive free cash flow of 31.6 billion JPY. After the results the share price fell 9.08% to 2,423 JPY and is approaching its 52-week low.
