Carlyle: assets under management rise to $475bn despite missed earnings

Carlyle reports AUM of $475bn for Q1 2026, a 5% year-on-year increase driven by strong growth at AlpInvest and Global Credit. Distributable earnings were $0.89 per share and missed analyst estimates, mainly due to reversals of unrealized performance allocations in certain funds. Fee revenues remained steady at $300m with a margin of 47%, while GAAP showed a net loss because of unrealized investment losses.
