ClearView increases half-year profit by 77%; Zurich offers 65 cents per share

ClearView reports an adjusted NPAT of $22.1m for H1 2026 (up 77%) and adjusted earnings per share of 3.5 cents, driven by growth in gross written premiums, new business and efficiency gains from its technology transformation. Recurring premium income rose 13% to $436.0m and new business grew 29% to $21.0m; the NPAT margin in the life insurance business is 11.2%. The board has accepted a unanimously recommended cash offer from Zurich of 65 cents per share; the embedded value is, according to the company, between 78–96 cents depending on assumptions, so the offer represents a discount to that value.
