Moody’s downgrades Genting Berhad and subsidiaries
Moody’s cut the ratings of Genting Berhad and Genting Overseas Holdings from Baa2 to Baa3 and reduced Genting Singapore’s rating from A3 to Baa1; the outlook remains stable. The agency cited weaker progress on debt reduction, a slower-than-expected recovery in earnings, and increased borrowing to finance the takeover offer and possible spending for a NYC casino license. Moody’s expects adjusted leverage to rise in 2025–2026 and decline in 2027, but sees improvements from earnings in Singapore, Las Vegas, the NYC project and LNG production from 2027. » More on de.investing.com
