Hanwha Aerospace closes export contract for K9 self-propelled howitzers with Spain

Hanwha Aerospace has signed a contract with Spanish defense firm Indra Sistemas for the export of K9 self-propelled howitzers to Spain. Contract value and delivery schedule were not disclosed for confidentiality reasons. Hanwha REIT increases quarterly EPS and revenue

Hanwha REIT reported quarterly earnings per share (EPS) of 41.38 KRW for the quarter ended April 30, 2026, up from 28.92 KRW in the same quarter a year earlier. Revenue rose to 28.01 billion KRW from 24.31 billion KRW a year earlier. Norway approves $2 billion artillery procurement, likely awarding contract to Hanwha Aerospace

Norway's parliament approved a 19.5 billion crown ($2.0 billion) plan to acquire long-range artillery to strengthen deterrence against Russia, planning 16 launch systems and an undisclosed number of rockets. Reports say the government has selected Hanwha Aerospace's Chunmoo system over Lockheed Martin's HIMARS, citing required range up to 500 km and faster delivery.
