Lucid announced it will push the midsize Cosmos SUV launch to most likely the second half of 2027 as part of an operational reset while Gravity production and recalls are still being resolved. The company reported wider-than-expected Q2 losses, negative free cash flow of $1.48 billion, and exited Q2 with $3 billion liquidity but only about $730 million in cash. Management is targeting about $1.4 billion in cash flow improvements — $600–800 million in inventory savings, $500 million in capex cuts and $200 million in operating expense reductions — and has implemented layoffs totaling roughly 20% of U.S. staff.
