Secure Trust Bank starts second tranche of £5 million share buyback programme
Secure Trust Bank has launched the second tranche of its share buyback programme, worth £5 million, as part of an overall £10 million framework. The first tranche closed on 5 August 2026 with the purchase and cancellation of 323,406 ordinary shares. Shore Capital Stockbrokers has been appointed to make the purchases on the London Stock Exchange or another regulated EU trading venue; repurchases will continue until the tranche volume is reached or until 31 December 2026. Secure Trust Bank increases adjusted pre-tax profit in H1 2026 and raises interim dividend
Secure Trust Bank reports a 9.4% rise in adjusted pre-tax profit for H1 2026 to £31.3m, with a customer loan book of £3.5bn. Return on equity improved to 14.5% and the CET1 ratio stood at 14.3%, leaving room for growth and shareholder returns. The group is continuing a £10m share buyback programme and raised its interim dividend; the stock rose 2.3% after the release, close to its 52-week high.
