Southern train derails between Haywards Heath and Lewes, two seriously injured
A Southern passenger service from Victoria to Eastbourne derailed between Haywards Heath and Lewes, leaving two people with severe injuries and nine with less serious injuries; all passengers were evacuated and emergency services declared a major incident. Three of eight carriages were shown on their side and several rail routes were suspended, with passengers advised to seek alternative routes.
