Westaim reports Q2 improvement: losses significantly reduced

Westaim reported a diluted loss per share of $0.01 for Q2 2025 versus $0.80 a year earlier and increased revenue to $35.2 million thanks to a one‑time gain of $29 million from the acquisition of the Arena business. Both operating segments posted adjusted EBITDA losses, with Asset Management at $6.3 million and Insurance at $10.7 million. Cash and liquid assets rose to $516.9 million, and the company plans to reorganize the Asset Management segment, expand Ceres Life annuity distribution, and monetize the Arena‑FINCO portfolio.
