1&1 cuts earnings forecast after overhaul at Versatel
Telekom subsidiary 1&1 cut its EBITDA forecast for 2026 from €800 million to €740 million because of a restructuring program at business-customer unit Versatel. The program foresees reductions in organization, processes and personnel, with headcount set to fall from around 1,350 to about 1,000, triggering one-off operational expenses of roughly €60 million this year. Excluding these one-off charges, 1&1 is holding to an adjusted EBITDA target of €800 million; from 2028 the measures are expected to deliver annualized savings of around €25 million. In after-hours trading the 1&1 share fell by about 4 percent. » More on wiwo.de
